Is the Pampered Chef Grinder Worth the Hype?

In summary, the new grinder is much bigger than expected and is really nice. It is also nice that it adjusts nicely.

Yeah, I got my grinder and my salt today. The grinder is much bigger than expected! It is really nice. I know I'll be selling many of these.:D Now I just need another grinder and the pepper.

The insert said the bamboo bowls will ship at the beginning of August.

Will the whole bottle of salt fit in the grinder?

No, I filled my grinder about 3/4 full and have 1/2 bottle of salt left.

I filled my grinder with the pepper and still have a 1/2 bottle left as well!

excellent!

I got mine today too and I love it! A set of the grinders would look so elegant on a table setting! They are have a heavy, high quality feel.

Ooh- I hope mine comes today or tomorrow so I can take it to my fair and my show this weekend as a sneak peek!

Very cool!!
I'm in TX too, so maybe when I get home from work today, I will have a little surprise as well.
That would be so awesome if it comes today, b/c it's my birthday!!

Mine isn't even showing as processed yet.

I'm one day ship from HO, so it probably won't be shipped until Friday.

  • #10
Actually, mine's not showing up, either. So I'll probably get it Tuesday.

I can't wait to get these in my grubby little hands! I am soooooooooooo excited about the sea salt!

I am looking forward to a really nice grinder, though I will miss the fact that I can grab our old one and use it one handed. No big deal, though....especially if it adjusts nicely like they say it does! (I like my pepper very finely ground.)

Happy birthday Lisa!

I want to get these. I did not earn any SAT this year, so, I will have to buy them. Will probably host my own show to get them for FREE.

I cannot stand the old grinder so I am excited about new ones!

I am in Texas as well and I got my Director boxes today.

  • #14
Well Becky you are probably in the same boat as me since I tracked them and it shows they will arrive on friday but that is normal since i do live in idaho and it seems like it always takes forever for things to come to idaho from IL

This cracks me up!!! My Fedex guy seemed to like me so much that my coworker swore he was in love with me HA! But he went out of his way to make sure my packages were HAND delivered to me whether he bought it to work or my house address, so, I wasn't complaining! He has now been assigned to a different route and I haven't met my new driver yet.

He is very nice...don't get me wrong but just a little freaky. He always calls me Erin like we are good friends and offers to bring the boxes in. He was here for 20 minutes one day just talking to DH and I. Just a little freaky is all...nice, but freaky.

Are u sure we don't have the SAME guy? I was ok with the talking when I was at work withothers around but I did not like the "hanging around" when I was at home with Luke and Russell was not home.

I like the old grinder -- think it is ugly as heck, but love the one-handed grinding action. (That sounded way more pornographic than I intended.) I keep it by my stove cuz it's too ugly to put on the table.
Excited to get the new ones.

Is the grinder the free product for holding one show in June? At least I was able to do that. Wasn't even close to any of the other levels.

  • #21
It was part of the hold and submit 2 shows level.

  • #22
I haven't gotten mine yet, but maybe tomorrow.

  • #23
I kept my old one in the cabinet becaus eit was too ugly to be out period :)

Where does it show them?
I just looked at my shipment status and it only shows my recent sample and paperwork orders.

Thanks

I'm going to, someday, get mine from SAT, but I'm also hoping to get the set as well. As my wonderful director suggested, you can also use one for dried herbs!

I got mine today. I didn't even know it was on the porch till someone came over. It was soaked from all the rain we have had today. Oh well, at least the contents were fine. I got salt with mine. Love it!!!

I was at the Health Food Store this afternoon, and they had Himalayan Salt there - for a small bottle (I would say half the size of ours) it was $7.95! Ours is a great deal!

  • #29
I can't wait for mine!!!!

The knife block, beaded spoon, stemware, bamboo square bowl and drink charms are delayed and will not ship till mid-August... UGH!!!

I didn't earn anything for free. I have no one to blame but myself, but boy, if it were physically possible for me to kick my own behind, I would!

I just arrived home and as I was walking to the front door the FedEx guy backed into my driveway. So my box was hand delivered. How fun! I really wish the bamboo bowl would have arrived, too. My SIL was with me, and she is very interested in that bowl.

To my surprise when DH left to go to the airport last night he handed me a package, it was a box from PC and I was all excited!! I didn't order anything, so I wondered what this was and sure enough it was the grinder and salt!! I knew I had a descent June for me, but had been focused so much on the sales (I wanted $1500 came up short at $1087) that I completely forgot about the hold and submit 2 shows promo!! Sometimes I think I like it better when I forget :)

  • #42
I got mine today too! YEAH!

Can't wait to get the Bamboo Bowl and Sample Pkg A! I need a bigger kitchen. Forget that, I need a bigger house!

Since I didn't attend conference to see the Grinder - is there just one or one for salt and one for pepper. I noticed they can be bought as a set, so that is why am wondering if they are different, or two of the same

I got mine today. It was a great pick me up. Love it and it doesn't come a minute too soon.

ChefAnn.. I'm in Ypsilanti, your's should be on the way, it not on your doorstep today!

Good stuff! I'll definitely be using it!

It is great with our basil blend canola oil to dip bread in!

...and can be used for:

1. Salt
2. Peppercorn
3. Cloves
4. Coriander

...and others...

You can adjust the grinder for how thick or fine you want it...

Just do not put pre-ground seasonings in it.

By the way, use the PC flexible funnels to fill your grinder without spilling...
