I Can't Take It: Flying Home for Granny's 90th Birthday

In summary, Ginger is working on organizing her PC paperwork, and is determined to start making those 3 contacts a day. She's also freezing cold and jealous of all the people who are getting snow.

I can't take it. My audit is tomorrow and I am suppose to fly to Maine..what is up with all this damn snow up there. My flight is for sure going to be screwed up.... Things never go well when I am going to fly home to see my family. It's my grandmother's 90th birthday to........UGGGG!

Sorry, Jill. I'm in western Maine and the snow hasn't started yet but we are all preparing for it. Sounds like it won't start until sometime tomorrow morning and we will have blizzard conditions by noon. I really hope you make it to your grandmother's birthday!

Yeah I don't fly until Thursday..but I just know the flights are going to be a messs...UGGGGGGG....

We've had plenty of snow here in Northern Indiana today - 12 inches so far and still snowing. We also have blizzard conditions. The drifts are almost up to the top of my 6 foot privacy fence. Needless to say, I stayed home from work today and will also tomorrow.

The good news is I'm working on organizing my PC paperwork. I decided to take all of my drawing slips and input the info. on a spreadsheet in Excel. That way I can sort my category, date to follow-up, etc. I'm about half way there! This will make it so much easier to begin calling. I'm determined to start making those 3 contacts a day.

Wow - I went off subject - sorry. It must be cabin fever :)!

Good luck getting your flight Jill!

Why don't you put all the infor in p3 and create tasks or use one of the handy reports. I love those reports..Everyone is all there for ya...

Wow - I'd be more than happy to have the snow instead of all the COLD we've had....it wasn't too bad today, but that evil Canadian air is heading back for us...supposed to be -5 tomorrow night, and that's with no wind chill.
I love snow.......the cold sucks!!!!!!!!

Evil CANADIAN air?!?!?! LMAO

I call it Evil ARCTIC air and we're getting it too! :D

LOL! Now I'm wondering if it gets cold in Mexico, do they refer to is as Evil American Air??? It's been a LONG day....sorry...tee hee!

No need to apologize! I was only teasing ;)

It's actually freezing here (-28C/-18.4F) with the wind chill  with tons of snow on the way. Guess that's what happens when we have a green Christmas and most of January :)

We don't have a lot of snow, I wish we did. I'm jealous of all the people who are getting all the snow. My DH has a theory that it won't snow because it's TOO COLD!!! The last couple days were nicer than normal, and of course, it snowed...a little. Now it's cold and windy and it's miserable...like I said, I'd rather have the snow!!! Enjoy the snow that you get. I'll tell ya, these FLorida people.....geesh! (J/K...I'm ROFL!)

Being stuck at home because of the snow isn't all bad. I was able to get labels on all of my s/s stuff. I put oodles of host kits together, so they'll be ready for all my bookings I'm going to be getting (hee hee):D .

I had a chance to experiment with a couple of recipes.

I have, however, decided that we were way too hasty in allowing our son to move to Texas for school. I don't like being my husband's driveway shoveling helper. Thankfully, I was in the middle of cooking something yummy when he went out yesterday, so I got out of helping with the actual snow removal.

Stay warm, safe, and off the roads all my blizzard-bound cheffer buddies!

Wow - looks like our cheffer friends in the northeast are getting A LOT of snow today...(wish it was here!) Stay warm and safe...anyone in Indiana - how much snow did you end up with from yesterday? I was hoping that we would have gotten some snow here - I'd love a day to "sleep in"...I'm up way too late reading and entering stuff here on CS!!! LOL!!! Can't get enough! It's amazing how this place gets to you...like infiltrates your mind! I love it!

It's hard to tell how much snow we got here outside of Denver, IN (northcentral). We have bare patches and deep drifts. In addition to a reported 10 to 14 inches of snow, we had wind gusts of 40 mph. And, yes, it's way too easy to spend (I refuse to say "waste") hours here.

I'm a teacher in Maine and of course school was cancelled today. I got to sleep in AND work on geeting some PC stuff done!! Actually, LOTS of places cancelled. My sister works for state and the govenor just sent all the state workers home at 12:30. My mom works at a bank here in town and they all got sent home at 1:30!! We already have about a foot (maybe?) since this morning and its not slowing down! I thought that little groundhog said we'd have spring soon!!! Yeah-right!

The winds have died down here in northcentral Indiana, so the snow emergency has been lifted for our county. My DH just left for work, so I'm praying that the roads are decent.

All the school across central New York have pretty much closed. I helped snow blow the driveway, while the rest of the family shoveled, it is deep out there!! The county office buildings and many local area businesses I know have closed too!

We needed the snow, the ski resorts around here were having to make snow and it was costing them a fortunate and snowmobile stores were on the edge of going out of business.

Guess we had a mild winter here long enough! :(

Keep warm!
