I Can't Believe I Stayed up for This

The All Star Game went 15 innings, 4 hours 50 minutes.

My guy started it, Ben Sheets threw two scoreless innings, and my guy (sort of) ended it. Cory Hart caught the fly ball that was the second out in the bottom of the 15th and threw a perfect strike to the plate, but the throw was a split second late and the American League won - again.

I'm going to bed now.

Finally went to bed in the 12th- My guy, Cliff Lee, started for AL- As an Indians fan I am definitely glad they won...but the NL did great too! It was a good game!

I only watched parts of it....my daughter the "expert" (she's almost 10) kept telling me all of the mistakes they were making!!!

It was a terrific game - sacrifice bunts, plays at the plate, stolen bases, runners caught stealing, incredible pitching - the game had it all - on top of being the last All Star game to be played at Yankee Stadium. It was worth staying up for, no doubt.

I watched the whole game last night/early morning here and was very happy with the ending and that the MVP was from the Red Sox!!!!!!!

I must say that we really all got to see how great all of the players from both leagues are. I can't remember seeing so many plays at home plate that were outs!!!!!!

I am paying for lack of sleep but will recover!!!!

There was some kind of poetic justice to having J.D. Drew of the Red Sox win the MVP in Yankee Stadium.
