How Will CTA Blue Line Detours Affect Your Trip from O'Hare to Downtown?

In summary, the estimated travel time from CTA O'Hare to downtown during the detour is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The detour route for the CTA O'Hare to downtown is currently taking passengers on a shuttle bus from O'Hare to the Rosemont Blue Line station, where they can then board the Blue Line train to continue their journey to downtown. There are no additional fees for taking the detour and it is only affecting the Blue Line between O'Hare and downtown. Other CTA lines and routes are operating as normal. If you have a connecting flight at O'Hare, it's important to plan accordingly and allow for extra time to get to the airport.

FYI -- there is a slight interruption of service on the CTA Blue Line from O'Hare. Construction on the trainline is in full swing.

If you are taking the train into downtown, be prepared....they are shuttling people from O'Hare to the Rosemont station and then letting people on the train from there.

Here is the link, they say to expect delays:

If anyone from wave 1 flew to O'Hare, and took the train to downtown (and have your laptop to check in with Chef Success) could give us a report on how hard or easy the bus to the Rosemont station was.....I would really really appreciate it.
