Glass Plates: Info Unavailable on HO, CC?

In summary, the Holiday Spreader, Serving Plate, and Appetizer Plates are all recalled because their standards are too high. They are on stop sell, so you can't buy them yet, but you can still order them.

I can not find info from HO on the status of the glass plates- Are they not avaialble at all,and why, and will they be avaialble any time soon? I remember hearing something, but when I go to CC, can not find a thing. I really wish they would have something on CC, when they issue a statement. Things get lost in my E-mail.

The holiday plates are recalled in CA because their standards are extreme. Consultants in the rest of the country can return them at their option. They are on backorder until they fix them to CA standards. They can be ordered but will be delayed.

My opinion is that you'd have to lick the tree on the bottom of the plate to get any chance of lead and I know no one who would give a small child that kind of plate to use let alone play with.

Since they are back ordered for the rest of the country, shouldn't you still be able to order them? They show a red dot on P3- usually, if it is back-ordered you get a yeild sign.

They are on backorder for everyone. On the recall, it is mandatory for CA and optional to send them back elsewhere - that is a cost issue. It's like the sheet pans - you can send them back or not but still get replacements. Except in CA for the plates because laws dictate otherwise...

If they are on backorder, you should be able to order them still, right? It will not let me order them, it has a red dot on P3

They are on a stop sell, not back order:

From the e-mail they sent us:

"the Holiday Spreader (#2809), the Holiday Serving Plate (#2807) and the Holiday Appetizer Plates (#2808). Effective immediately, these products will be placed on "stop sell." This means do not show or sell these products until further notice."

Yeah, thanks - I wasn't too awake earlier. They are on stop sell like the plates until further notice...

I will have to call a guest from last night's open house, and explain that they are stop sell. Hopefully they will be available in time for Christmas
