There could be several reasons for this issue. First, make sure that you are using the correct dough consistency - it should be soft and pliable, but not too sticky. You can also try chilling the dough before using it in the cookie gun. Another solution is to lightly grease the cookie gun before use. If the problem persists, the discs may need to be replaced.
Cleaning your cookie gun is easy. First, disassemble all of the parts. Then, wash the barrel, plunger, and discs in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembling. Do not put any parts in the dishwasher, as this can cause damage.
If the cookie dough is not dispensing evenly or is coming out in clumps, try kneading the dough before putting it in the cookie gun to soften it. You can also try using a smaller amount of dough at a time. If the problem persists, the discs may be worn out and need to be replaced.
This issue is usually caused by air pockets in the dough. To prevent this, make sure to pack the dough tightly into the barrel before using the cookie gun. You can also try using a larger disc size to allow for more space for the dough to come out.
While the cookie gun is designed specifically for cookie dough, you can experiment with other soft doughs such as cheese straws or churros. Just make sure to adjust the dough consistency and disc size accordingly. Do not use the cookie gun for hard or sticky doughs, as this can cause damage to the tool.
