fruit76loop said:Well, as you see by my avatar...I finally gave the smurf the boot! Thought some of you might want to see my face instead of the smurfs!!
This a picture of my husband and I in Vienna! Much better, but not as much fun as the smurf!!
Think about it. The Smurfs lived in a isolated community, a eglitariun utopia with no outside commerce. Each Smurf had a job and there were no competitors. There is no medium of exchange, everything is barter. All provided for one another ("Each accoding to his abilities, each according to his needs") and watched over one another to lookout for Gargamel. Farmer Smurf didn't sell his crop to anyone, all food production was for the mutual benefit of the commune.rennea said:WHAT??

The reason for the change in avatar is because I wanted to show my face instead of the smurf. It's a personal preference and I thought it would be a nice change.
The new avatar features a picture of my husband and I in Vienna. We were on vacation and decided to take a picture together.
Yes, the change is permanent. I have no plans to change my avatar again in the near future.
I feel good about the new avatar. I like being able to show my face and share a personal photo with others.
To be honest, I might miss the smurf avatar a little bit. It was fun and quirky, but I'm also excited to have a more personal avatar now.
