Effective School Traffic Advertising with Signs | Tips & Tricks

In summary, the idea of using signs to help traffic flow is a good one. It is important to ask the right people for permission so as not to get ticketed or fined.

I live near a couple of schools that tie up traffic in both directions both in the morning and afternoon. I thought about putting out small professionally made signs that could be seen by those waiting in line to drop off or pick up thier kids. Does anyone else use signs?

That's a good idea. I can't wait to find out your results. Be sure to ask the correct people for permission so you won't get ticketed or fined.

Sounds like a great idea. I have thought about buying the Merrill flag to put in my yard for that reason and possibly have a sign with my website addy!:)

Just make sure to use Merrill for the signage or make them yourself if you want to use the logo!

I looked on the Merrill site yesterday, to order a yard sign, and could not find it. I bought one for my ste-daughter for Christmas (she is on my team) and could not find one for myself. I wonder if they discontinued it.

I believe they may have been, or at least they were on special a few weeks ago. I remember it was mentioned in a Weekly Bites. I don't remember if it was a current special, or if it said they were "while they last." Maybe call the company if you still don't see it on the website. I know some items are in strange locations (at least in my opinion). I usually click all the links to make sure I didn't miss something.

I can't advertise with signs in my yard or neighborhood because of restrictions. The schools are across the street from a cow pasture.
I also thought about using a sign in several areas where new subdivisions are being built. It would say something like :
New House! New Kitchen! Why not stock it with new tools from Pampered Chef!
