My DH thinks we should set up an LLC for my business, to protect us from liability issues, and to make 'taxes easier'. I'm not sure I think it is necessary. Although it was encouraging- he said he doesn't want the income to push us to a higher tax bracket or mess up his W4 deductions (he calculated it all out). So he must have some level of confidence I will make money at it eventually *hehe*.
But I was wondering if anyone else has done that or CAN you do that with PC? I know they take out a liability insurance fee from the commission, but would that be enough in the event I accidentally burnt someone's house down or something? Since I am an "Independent Consultant" and they keep reminding me I don't work FOR them. Would their insurance cover me in a serious situation?
Just wondering?
