Did I Make Enough to Receive a 1099?

In summary, the minimum amount of money needed to receive a 1099 form is $600. This form is used to report income earned through self-employment, contract work, or freelance work. Not every job will result in a 1099 form, as it is only required for income over $600. However, it is still important to report all income, even if a 1099 form is not received. If a 1099 form is not received for income earned, the payer should be contacted and the income should still be reported on tax returns. It is also possible to receive a 1099 form for income less than $600, depending on the payer's preference.

I don't know if I will receive one or not since I only recieved $400in commision plus the ss1 kit. I thought I reemembered seeing somewhere that the 1099 is for if you made $600 or more (I thin it was turbo tax) anyone know?

Yep, it's for only $600 or more. The ss1 kit counts too! You can find it online at CC. It will tell you there if you are getting one mailed to you or not.
