Can someone explain this to me? How do you buy the monthly specials the month before? Is it the host & the guest special that you get to buy? And, what is our discount on the product? Thanks for the info!

You can buy the upcoming guest specials the month before. However, if there is a qualifier i.e., free chef's silicone basting brush w/ $60 order, then you have to spend $60 to get it for free. Your discount would be whatever level you are currently eligible for, 20% minimum, 30% as Team Leader, etc.
