A bridal shower invite should include the bride's name, the date and time of the shower, the location, RSVP information, and any special instructions or dress code. You may also want to include the names of the host(s) and a short message or quote.
Bridal shower invites should be sent out 4-6 weeks before the shower to give guests enough time to RSVP and plan accordingly. If the shower is a destination or requires travel, it is recommended to send the invites out earlier.
It is generally considered poor etiquette to include registry information on the bridal shower invite. However, you can include a small card with the invite that has the registry information, or you can spread the word through word of mouth or the host(s) can inform guests if they ask.
It is up to the preference of the bride. If she is changing her name after the wedding, it is common to use her maiden name on the invite. However, if she has already legally changed her name, you can use her married name. If you are unsure, it is best to ask the bride or use both names.
It is becoming more common to use digital or electronic invites for bridal showers. However, it is important to consider the age and preferences of the guests. If many of them are older or do not use technology frequently, it may be best to stick with traditional paper invites.
