Being a SAHM and Bookeeping: My Current Job

In summary, the conversation is about a group of people discussing their upcoming trips with Pampered Chef. Some are traveling with their families, while others are going alone. They are excited about the trip and discussing various details such as cruise options, gratuities, and registration dates. They also mention meeting up with other Pampered Chef consultants during the trip.

I don't think this was asked? What job do you currently hold?

First and foremost I am a SAHM!
2. Bookeeping 40 hours a month for my parents
3. TPC 4+/- shows a month!

Are you traveling?I posted this poll on CS as well...

Let's see who all will be traveling PC style? It would be nice to be able to set up some Chef Success meet & greets on each of the trips!

Me too, me too! I can't WAIT!!!:) We just took a trip with the kids for a week after Christmas to my sister's wedding and I tell ya, with two kids (3 and 6 -and the 3 year old a very independent/defiant little girl) it's NOT much of a vacation. I'm looking at Leadership as a vacation, then the cruise in April as a BIG vacation because we're not taking the kids. Yipee!!:) I can't wait to meet those on the cruise out of Port Canaveral.

Well I did decide to bring my 2 boys. I made a promise to them and I can't turn back. I just booked our air today. It will still be a vacation. They are 7 and 10. They are looking fwd to the kids programs the cruise has for them.

Yes, they pay ALL those little tips that usually occur on a cruise (the head waiter, waiter, statesroom attendant, etc) so it's SO cool!!! The only thing we paid for was our bar tab. I can't wait to meet you too!

OK, why are the rest of you cruising out of Port Canaveral? Do you know something I don't know?

  • #14
I just earned the cruise at the end of Dec. When do I get the info to pick which cruise I want to go on? This is my first PC Trip :)

  • #15
I picked Port Canaveral because I'm taking my kids. We are making a longer trip out of this and going to Sea World too.

  • #16
There was a place for it on CC. I just went in and I don't see it now. I do know that registration for the trip opens up on January 28th.

DC registration opened up yesterday. I've been going back & forth about the flight times and hopefully we'll get it all settled in the next few days. I got a pretty certificate in the mail from HO for reaching Level 4...I can't wait to frame it!

HOw fun that registration is open for you! That's so exciting!!

Isn't that neat? I got a certificate too and it was just for Level 2! I may put it in the binder that I pass around at my shows. I haven't quite decided.

Oh, me too! Totally! I'm going to be acting like a 5 year old with ADHD! (No offense....my son has ADHD so I REALLY know what that's like.)

Amy, what ship will you be on?

my hubby picked the Sovereign

Woo-hoo! We have our e-tickets for London! :)
DH is starting a new job next month, but his employers knew up front that his having time off to go to London was a condition of his accepting the job! (Really, we have to have priorities, right?!);)
leggy

Yahoooie! I got our itinerary for London today! I'm taking my dd who is graduating from College in May--we're calling it our "girls around the world" tour. Just us, no guys this time!!! We are so excited! And I earned TPC so we get the extra day!

  • #32
That sounds wonderful!

What is with the level 2 registration? I keep checking it and they keep changing the time it will be available and now it says avail at 1:15, but it is not available yet??? HO has a 58 min hold time, so didn't bother to wait, but does anyone have the scoop??

My understanding is that the Travel Agency is having some technical issues. BUT, I was about to register about 20 minutes ago so don't panic yet! Keep trying.

i just did my registration. Hope those of you who wanted the Majesty were able to get it. When I started it said it was full - ok for us as we wanted the Sovereign anyways, but WOW that surprised me!

Yeah Debi! Thrilled to hear you are taking the cruise. Hope you are going to National this year as well? Nancy may be going, so maybe you, Sandi, Nancy and I can share a room (Lordy, we'd talk all night!). I'm going to try to make the Tri-Cluster meeting in March...if I can catch a military hop out of BWI.

Anyway, congrats on the cruise!

I could finally just get on to register, but had to take Sovereign and wait listed for Majesty. I am pretty disappointed in how the registration was so messed up today and then not getting the cruise I wanted.

  • #38
I was surprised too that the one ship was full already!!! Wow. Hopefully they'll open up more slots or figure something out for those who wanted that boat. I was happy because I wanted the Sovereign, but I panicked at first when I saw that....thinking it was the one I wanted.

I hope everyone gets on what ship they want!!!:D

I can't wait to see you in Mar! I'm not too hopeful about National because plane tickets are over $1100 and you know how hopping will be. :(

Are they using Travel Planners again? I thought they had moved away from them because of ALL the problems we have had... Sounds like if they did, these people are no better. lol

No they use Carlson for incentive trips.

Related to Being a SAHM and Bookeeping: My Current Job

1. What does being a SAHM mean?

SAHM stands for Stay-at-Home Mom, which means that I am a mother who has chosen to stay at home to take care of my children instead of working outside the home.

2. How much time do you spend on bookeeping for your parents?

I spend approximately 40 hours a month on bookeeping for my parents. This can vary depending on their needs and the complexity of their financial records.

3. What is your current job?

Currently, my job is being a SAHM and also doing bookeeping for my parents on a part-time basis. I also work for Pampered Chef by hosting 4 or more cooking shows per month.

4. How did you get into bookeeping for your parents?

I have always had a knack for numbers and organization, so my parents asked me to help them with their business finances. I enjoy being able to use my skills to assist them and it also allows me to work from home.

5. How do you balance being a SAHM, bookeeping, and working for Pampered Chef?

It can definitely be a juggling act at times, but I have learned to prioritize and manage my time efficiently. I make sure to schedule my Pampered Chef shows and bookeeping tasks around my children's schedule and prioritize my family's needs first. It also helps to have a supportive partner and ask for help when needed.
