Autopsy Results: No Cause of Death Found for Paige Birgfeld's Remains

In summary, "No Cause of Death Found" is recorded when the cause of a person's death cannot be determined. It is important to determine the cause of death for closure, public health and research purposes, and legal matters. Factors that can contribute to this include decomposition, lack of evidence, and underlying medical conditions. In some cases, the cause of death can be updated or changed with new evidence or information. If the cause of death is unknown, seeking support from a therapist or support group can help with the grieving process.

Results of an autopsy of Paige's remains have not revealed a cause of death, according to Paul Shockley of the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.

The article tells us, “There is no readily identifiable cause of death in the investigation,” Sgt. Matt Lewis of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

Shockley promises more details tomorrow.

Thanks KG for the info. All I can say is darn!

:( That's not what I was expecting to hear. Hopefully they are not done with the investigation and someone else with more expertise will jump in & find some answers.

This is also a reminder that life is not television.

Sadly, after all these years, there would not be one unless there was clearly "blunt force trauma." Even then it would be difficult to determine if the damage was pre or post mortem. If she was shot or strangled, that evidence would likely not be there anymore ... unless the bullet is part of the "other evidence" they're sorting through.
