Are Stainless Bowls Worth the Hype or Just a Hassle?

Mine are scratched up INSIDE from using electric beaters, and one has a small dent in the side where I dropped it.

HATE EM!!!!

I tried to make whipped cream in my bowl this past weekend with an electric mixer and I got little metal flecks in my whipped cream from the bowl. Not happy that this happened. I do not know if Home Office will change it out for me or not. I have had the bowls for less than a year. Not loving them thats for sure!

Oh.....I love them...I have never had a problem. I would call HO!!

Call HO! I love mine and use them several times a week and have never had any problems at all. I have sold them to and had no complaints.

I love them, too. Double check and make sure it's not your beaters that flaked? I use my bowls all of the time with the mixer and have had no problem.

They have a 5 year warranty, so even if it is the bowl that is flaking they will be replaced.

Same with me. I love my bowls and have never had a problem...maybe you got a bad set? I am happy that you were making whipped cream so that you could see the flakes! Ouch if you served it!!

That is strange! I love mine and use them all the time w/ an electric hand mixer and have never had a problem.

That's great to hear Schel! I also LOVE my bowls!!!:D

I have a feeling it may be your beaters that flaked. I have used my bowls hundreds of times w/electric beaters and have never had a problem.

I've never had problems with mine either. Did you look at your beaters closely to be sure that wasn't the problem? Did you see pits in the bowl that made you think the metal came from the bowl?

I'm with dnnyzmom on this one. I love my bowls and have never had a problem. I have seen electric beaters flake before when they are old, check yours out.

I'm glad they're replacing your bowls. However, I'm with the others. I use mine ALL the time. No problem.

No flaking here either. Sorry to hear about yours. Must be a defect.

Nope it was the bowls, you could see where it came off the bowls. Not a problem, HO was very understanding and will replace them for me. Makes me a happy PC lady! :D

Does everyone's bowls get all scratched up from trekking them back and forth to shows? I'd like for them to look new since I'm trying to sell them.

Mine are scratched up INSIDE from using electric beaters, and one has a small dent in the side where I dropped it. I think it shows that I use them all of the time and how well they hold up with use!:D

I'm with Kelly. Mine are scratched up on the inside, a couple of scuffs on the outside, but it shows I use them!
