Dear Director,
I'm excited to announce that this week, The Pampered Chef will begin to post
six corporate-sponsored videos on social media sites. Over the next two weeks,
we will post the videos to a total of 25 sites, including YouTube, MySpace,
Facebook and Yahoo.
The videos are edited versions of Consultant training videos featuring Chris
Koetke, Kendall College's Dean of Culinary Arts, and Lisa Flynn, Sr. Vice
President of Product Development. The Pampered Chef logo is displayed
prominently throughout to build awareness of the brand, and viewers are
invited to visit the website for more information. Any resulting leads will be
directed through the normal lead system.
Online video can help us reach consumers who may not be aware of The Pampered
Chef and also increase our search engine ranking. In September alone,
Americans viewed 9 billion videos online. Now The Pampered Chef can capture
people's attention with videos like "How to Use a Santoku Knife," "How to
Carve a Turkey" and "Artichoke Chicken with Roasted Potatoes," a recipe from
29 Minutes to Dinner. Viewers will see these videos when they search terms
like "knife skills," "turkey," "carving," "chicken recipes," etc.
The videos also will be posted on our corporate and Personal Web Sites early
in 2009. For now, just visit one of the sites mentioned above and search
"Pampered Chef."
We will share this announcement with the field in today's issue of PC
NewsWire.
Sincerely,
Janine Davis
