ok i am trying to figure out the best way to advertise...i am a new PC consultant...i have been reading several threads trying to find ways to advertise to get bookings in my little town...i have found some great flyers in the files section...one i have been using is one of the grocery store ones...but are we allowed to use flyers? i am a bit confused from the different things i have read.

Re: advertisingFlyers are okay. Depending on the rules where you live, you might be able to go door to door. The best way to spread the word is simply to tell everyone you know and tell them to tell everyone they know.

Re: advertisingI do little bribery -"I reward for referrals" is what I tell people. I give people a small discount if someone refers some to me and they get a free rub or something similar on their order if they come to the party. I think most o us agree though that word of mouth works best. We have all tried fliers and other things but those are a lot more work than they seem to be worth. One good poster in one good place works better than any thing else. So my best advice, talk, talk, talk, talk and keep talking! Personal contact works best. In person or on the phone. Good luck!

Re: advertisingThis is an absolutely CRAZY thing that I'm about to tell you but it really does work. LMAO!!!

If you're shy....take a binder of PC stuff. I had a catalog that I had in a 3 ring binder....look like you're about to "work on your stuff". I have my first cooking (other than ones I've done. LOL!)show tomorrow night....and I had 2 soccer moms look at me doing what I was doing and coming up to me telling me how much they loved Pampered Chef.

Unfortunately another soccer mom started having a seizure at that very moment, so we had to attend to her and make sure she was ok. But darned if I'm not going to take that binder next week to my daughter's practice!! One of those mom's was a former consultant who had signed up, got the kit for $40 and her training consultant ended up having a preterm baby and was unable to train her, so she ended up just getting her kit for $40. Not sure how she managed that but she did...I plan to seek these ladies out again next week. LOL!!!

Hi there! As a fellow PC consultant, I completely understand your desire to find the best ways to advertise and get bookings in your town. I have found that flyers can be a great way to spread the word about your business, but it's always important to make sure you are following the company's guidelines and policies. In my experience, using the grocery store flyers has been a successful method, but I would recommend checking with your upline or the company's website for any specific rules or regulations regarding flyer usage. It's better to be safe than sorry! Best of luck with your business and happy cooking!
